LADY OF THE MOON

LADY OF THE MOON à

“Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon”
Like storms and floods in June … Like the Beatles’ “Rocky Racoon”
Like a UFO or weather balloon … Like an old cat and mouse cartoon…
Cartoon…cartoon…cartoon…

I sailed to the Southern Ocean, to the island where the mermaids swoon,
They swoon…they swoon…they swoon…they swoon…
With a bag full of telescopes and notions …
About the darker side…the darker side of the moon…
The moon…the moon…the moon…the moon...

Do you remember a guy called “Shiver”?
In the time of Little Lorri, he crooned….
He crooned…he crooned…he crooned…he crooned…
He called out that you made him quiver;
And he promised…he promised you the moon….
The moon…the moon…the moon………………the moon.

Luna loving – loving you madly … In the Sea of Serenity at noon….
At noon…at noon…at noon…at noon
Water naiad singing so sadly … a tune….a tune 4 the Lady of the Moon.

And if the cow’d jumped over it and I had let her go,
And the dish had run away with the spoon.
In sheer desperation I might have called up the Wizard,
But first I’d have called up the Moon…
The moon…the moon…the moon…the moon...

Now I believe she’s in a movie and you can go and see it …
At a cinema near you real soon.
A tale full of mystery, kiss and tell you won’t believe it …
Believe it…believe it…believe it….
It’s called the Lady of the Moon….the moon…the moon…the moon
The moon…the moon…the moon…the moon...
Oh Lady of the Moon.
